Café All Rounder

An exciting opportunity has risen to join our Café team!

We are looking for an experienced, responsible, enthusiastic, reliable and customer-focused individual to join our team in the Cafe, who enjoys working well with individuals, as a team and with members of the public.

The role involves preparing and serving food and snacks, hot and cold drinks, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and ensuring customers enjoy a warming and excellent experience.

Duties include:

• Greeting customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
• Assist our customers in all areas where necessary
• Preparing and serving hot and cold food
• Preparing and service hot and cold drinks
• Use of Square system to take orders and collect and record money from customers
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Follow food safety guidelines
• Follow allergen guidelines
• Follow hygiene guidelines
• Complete daily checks on our facilities
• Complete daily cleaning on our facilities
• Complete daily work sheets
• Must be enthusiastic, friendly, fun and reliable

· Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Must have strong time management skills
• Must be flexible

Key Responsibilities

• Able to work well under pressure and remain calm and organised during busy periods
• Serving customers quickly, efficiently and with care
• Following food safety and hygiene regulations whilst keeping daily records
• Being aware of, and following, all operational policies and procedures
• Keeping all areas of the café facilities clean and tidy in-line with the current procedures
• Keeping café equipment and utensils clean and tidy
• Serving customers in a welcoming and polite manner
• Preparing and making food, snacks and refreshments according to our café’s menu

Required;

• Must be above 21+ years
• Minimum of 2 years experience in the Catering industry; preparing, cooking and serving food
• Knowledge of Food Standard Agency Regulations
• Level 2 Certificate in Food Hygiene
• Safeguarding Certificate (or willing to complete)

Working Hours;

Is open to Job-share/flexible working pattern

• Wednesday 2:00pm to 8:15pm
• Thursday 9:00am to 8:30pm
• Friday 9:00am to 8:30pm
• Saturday 08:00am to 4:00pm
• Holiday cover

Applicants will be required to be DBS checked.

Job Type: Permanent

Licence/Certification:

• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (required)
• Driving Licence (preferred)
